If you suspect a virus, it is recommended to run a boot-time scan.</p> <p>Go to <i>Scan → Scan for Viruses</i> select <strong>Boot-time Scan</strong> from the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the screen, and click <strong>Start</strong>. It can be booted without any OS running on a PC. It is especially useful to repair a PC hijacked by malware.</p> <p>To create a Rescue Disk, insert an empty CD or USB drive with at least 500 MB of free space. Go to <i>Tools → Rescue Disk</i> and select the media type in the top right corner of the screen.
